Procedure
Morpholine (1 equivalent) and 5-chloro-2-nitroaniline (1 equivalent) were dissolved in DMF, and TEA (2 equivalents) was added. The reaction mixture was heated at 120° C. overnight. The reaction mixture was then cooled to room temperature, most of the DMF was distilled off, and water was added to the residue to obtain the crude product as a precipitate. The solid was dried and purified by chromatography on silica gel (2-10% MeOH/CH2Cl2) to afford the desired product, 5-morpholin-4-yl-2-nitro-phenylamine.
