To a solution of (5-chloro-2-{2-[4-(4-fluoro-benzyl)-(2R,5S)-2,5-dimethyl-piperazin-1-yl]-2-oxo-ethoxy}-phenoxy)-acetonitrile (0.11 g, 0.25 mmol) in dimethylformamide (0.50 mL) was added ammonium chloride (0.058 g, 1.1 mmol) and sodium azide (0.055 g, 0.85 mmol). The resulting mixture was stirred at 100° C. for 12 hours. The reaction was cooled and diluted with ethyl acetate and washed with water. The organic layer was washed with saturated aqueous sodium chloride, dried over magnesium sulfate and concentrated in vacuo. Trituration with diethyl ether and methylene chloride gave the title compound (0.018 g, LRMS 489.4, 491.5).
