A mixture of 10.0 g of the 4-chlorobutyrate obtained in Example 1-1-1 and 30 g of dimethylformamide was added dropwise to a mixture of 4.69 g of sodium methacrylate, 0.71 g of sodium iodide and 20 g of dimethylformamide at 60-70° C. The mixture was stirred at the temperature for 8 hours. 100 ml of water was added below 30° C. This was followed by ordinary work-up and silica gel chromatography purification, obtaining 8.12 g of the target compound (yield 70%).
