A solution containing the product from Example 74B (0.312 g, 0.48 mmol) in methanol (5 mL) was treated with Pd(OH)2 on carbon (0.10 g, 20% Pd by wt.) and HCl solution (0.240 mL, 4N in dioxane), stirred under a hydrogen atmosphere (balloon pressure) at 25° C. for 16 hours, filtered through a bed of celite®, rinsed with methanol and concentrated. The residue was purified by reversed phase chromatography on a C18 column eluting with 5-100% acetonitrile in water (0.1% TFA) to give the title compound as the hydrochloride salt (0.178 g, 53% yield).
