Procedure
A solution containing the product from Example 104A (0.045 mmol) in methanol (0.5 mL) was treated with Pd(OH)2 on carbon (0.010 g, 20% Pd by wt.) and HCl solution (0.035 mL, 4N in dioxane), stirred under a hydrogen atmosphere (balloon pressure) for 4 hours at 25° C., filtered through a bed of celite®, rinsed with methanol, and concentrated to give the title compound as the hydrochloride salt, which was used without further purification.
Workup
- filtrationfiltered through a bed of celite®
- washrinsed with methanol
- concentrationconcentrated
