Procedure

A solution of N-(6-hydroxy-pyridin-3-yl)-4-trifluoromethyl-benzamide (1.41 g, 5.00 mmol), N-methyl-N-phenylcarbamoyl chloride (0.85 g, 5.00 mmol) and 1,4-diazabicyclo[2,2,2]octane (0.56 g, 5.00 mmol) in dimethylformamide (10 mL) was stirred at room temperature overnight. The solvent was evaporated in vacuo and the residue was purified by flash column chromatography (SiO2, ethyl acetate:heptane 50:50) yielding the title compound (1.34 g, 64% yield) as a white solid.
