Procedure
To a mix of 1-(5-chloro-8-piperazin-1-ylquinolin-7-yl)ethanone (0.030 g, 0.10 mmol, from Example 47, Step 1) and potassium carbonate (0.043 g, 0.31 mmol) in N,N-dimethylformamide (1 mL) was added 2-chloro-N,N-dimethylacetamide (0.012 mL, 0.11 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 4 hrs, and then diluted with dichloromethane, washed with water, dried over MgSO4, concentrated and purified on silica gel (eluting with 0 to 5% methanol in dichloromethane) to give the desired product (19 mg, 49%). LCMS calculated for C19H24ClN4O2 (M+H)+: m/z=375.2; Found: 375.1.
