Procedure
A solution of the product from Example 133 (150 mg) in 48% aqueous HBr was heated at reflux for 2.5 hours. The reaction mixture was poured into cold aqueous NH4OH solution. The resulting solution was extracted with ethyl acetate (3×25 ml), dried (MgSO4) and filtered. Evaporation of the solvent and drying in vacuo afforded the title compound as a tan solid (90 mg, 74%), mp 191° C.
