5.0 g (0.111 mol) of dimethylamine were passed over the course of 20 minutes into a stirred solution of 11 g (0.055 mol) of 2-amino-4-fluoro-6-trifluoromethoxy-1,3,5-triazine in 150 ml of tetrahydrofuran at 0° C. The mixture was stirred at 0° C. for one hour and at 22° C. overnight. Concentration, washing with water and drying yielded 9.9 g (80.7% of theory) of the title compound of melting point 114°-118° C. (decomposition).
