Procedure

0.4 g of ethyl α-[4-(2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-5-methyl-3-oxo-1,2,4-triazin-6-yl)phenoxy]acetate (prepared as described in Example 18) was mixed with 0.36 g of 2-morpholinoethylamine, and the mixture was stirred at 115° to 120° C. for 1 hour. The mixture was then cooled, and ethyl acetate was added. The crystals which precipitated were collected by filtration and washed with ethyl acetate to give a pale yellow powder. Recrystallization of this powder from ethyl acetate gave 0.36 g of the title compound as pale brown, fine crystals melting at 147°-149° C.
