2-Chloro-6-(4-pyridyl)benzaldehyde (80 mg, 0.37 mmol) was dissolved in pyridine (2 mL) at room temperature. Hydroxylamine hydrochloride (26 mg, 0.38 mmol) was added and the mixture was allowed to stir overnight. The mixture was then concentrated under reduced pressure to obtain 2-chloro-6-(4-pyridyl)benzaldoxime (85 mg, 99% yield). MW=233 confirmed by LC-MS, tr=8.36 min (Method Y) MH+=231–235
