By operating as described in Example 6(a), 7 g of 4-(3-trifluoromethylphenyl)-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine are reacted with 6.15 g of 2-naphthylacetyl chloride in the presence of 4.15 g of triethylamine in methylene chloride to give 9 g of 1-(2-naphthylacetyl)-4-(3-trifluoromethylphenyl)-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine; m.p. 125°-130° C.
