A mixture of 5-(4-fluorophenyl)pyrimidin-2-amine (50 mg, 0.3 mmol), 2-chloro-3-(4-methoxyphenyl)propanal (52 mg, 0.26 mmol) in tent-amyl alcohol (1.0 mL) in a sealed reaction vial was heated at 130° C. for 3 hours. After cooling, the mixture was purified by preparative HPLC to afford the desired product. LCMS: (M+H)=334.0.
