Concentrated HCl (3 mL) was added to a stirred solution of 7-(4-bromo-2-fluoro-phenylamino)-8-[1-(2,3-dihydroxy-propyl)-cyclopropanesulfonylamino]-6-methyl-5-oxo-2,3-dihydro-5H-imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (75 mg) in THF (10 mL). The resulting mixture was stirred at 45° C. for 1 hour. The reaction was monitored by TLC (10% MeOH in CHCl3). The reaction mixture was concentrated and partitioned between ethyl acetate and water. The organic layer was washed with saturated NaHCO3 solution and concentrated to afford 25 mg of the product (39.58% yield).
