Procedure
To a mixture of the compound obtained in Example 18 (0.20 g) in toluene (10 mL) and water (0.5 mL) were added phenylboronic acid (0.083 g), tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(0) (0.039 g) and potassium carbonate (0.047 g), and the mixture was stirred under an argon atmosphere at 100° C. for 14 hr. The reaction mixture was poured into water, and the resultant product was extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was washed with aqueous ammonium chloride solution and brine and dried, and the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The obtained residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (NH Chromatorex) (solvent gradient; 75→100% ethyl acetate/hexane) to give the title compound (0.14 g, 69%) as a white powder.
