To a vial containing benzyl isocyanate (0.0166 g, 0.125 mmol), was added methyl 5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-1,6-naphthyridine-2-carboxylate hydrochloride (0.0220 g, 0.0962 mmol), DIPEA (0.0586 mL, 0.337 mmol) and DMF (2 mL). The resulting solution was then shaken at rt for 13 h and then concentrated to give methyl 6-(benzylcarbamoyl)-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-1,6-naphthyridine-2-carboxylate.
