A mixture of 11.3 g (0.10 mole) of 3,4-epoxy-1-ethyl-pyrrolidine, 11.9 g (0.12 mol) of cyclohexylamine and one drop of conc. hydrochloric acid was heated at 130° C. under a nitrogen atmosphere for 18 hr. The mixture was cooled and diluted with 200 ml of petroleum ether. The precipitate was collected and recrystallized from petroleum-ether-cyclohexane to give 15 g (71%) of a white powder; m.p. 68°-71° C.
