Procedure
A solution of 1-methoxy-4-(2-pyridin-4-ylethylamino)-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]quinoxaline-7-carboxylic acid methyl ester (32 mg) was treated with 48% HBr (4 mL) in AcOH (6 mL) at 23° C. After 2 hrs., the solution was concentrated. Trituration of the residue with MeOH/methylene chloride, followed by filtration, afforded a light yellow solid. MS (M+H)+=365.3.
