4-Chloro-6,7-dimethoxyquinazoline (250 mg, 1.12 mmol) and 4-azidoaniline hydrochloride (200 mg, 1.11 mmol) were refluxed in 10 mL of isopropyl alcohol for 0.5 hour, cooled and filtered to afford solid title product which was washed with 10 mL of isopropyl alcohol and dried in vacuo, at 70° C., 392 mg (98%); mp 200°-205° C.
