120 mg (0.5 mmol) of 4-[4-(2-oxazolin-2-yl)benzylidene]piperidine and 75 mg (0.75 mmol) of triethylamine in 3 ml of ethyl acetate and 2 ml of methylene chloride are cooled to -5° to -10° C. and 104.3 mg (0.5 mmol) of 4-trifluoromethylbenzoyl chloride are added. The mixture is stirred at ambient temperature for 1.5 hours, diluted with ethyl acetate, washed successively with water, 2N sodium hydroxide solution and saturated saline solution, dried and evaporated down. 115 mg (56% of theory) of the title compound of melting point 142° C. are obtained.
