A mixture of 4-(2-amino-thiazol-4-yl)-benzoic acid methyl ester (1.17 g, 5 mmol), benzenesulfonyl chloride (1.06 g, 6 mmol) and 4-dimethylaminopyridine (2.20 g, 18 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (50 mL) was stirred at room temp for 18 h. A white solid was provided as 4-(2-benzenesulfonylamino-thiazol-4-yl)-benzoic acid methyl ester.
