Procedure
7-Chloro-4-[4-(cyanimino(phenoxy)methyl)piperazin-1-yl]quinoline (53 mg, 0.14 mmol) and tert-butylamine (2.0 mL, 19 mmol) are heated in pyridine (10 mL) for 6 h at reflux. The solvent is removed, and the residue purified by column chromatography with CH2Cl2-MeOH giving the title product as a colorless solid.
