To an ethyl acetate solution (5 mL) of (3S)-(1-(3,4-difluorobenzyl)pyrrolidin-3-yl)carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (1.55 g), an ethyl acetate (5 mL) solution of 4N hydrochloric acid was added, and the reaction solution was agitated at room temperature. Deposited substances in the reaction solution was separated by filtering after 10 hours, and 904 mg of the title compound was obtained by further washing with ether.
