Procedure
To a stirred solution of Example 25 (0.10 g, 0.25 mmol) in DCM (10 mL) was added triethylamine (0.03 g, 0.04 mL, 0.28 mmol), acetic anhydride (0.03 g, 0.03 mL, 0.30 mmol) and a catalytic amount of DMAP. The reaction mixture was stirred at r.t. for 16 h before being diluted with DCM (50 mL) and washed with sat. NaHCO3 solution (2×25 mL) and sat. brine (25 mL). The organic fraction was dried over MgSO4 and concentrated in vacuo. Purification by column chromatography (SiO2, 45:55 EtOAc/hexanes) gave the title compound (0.05 g, 49%) as a white solid. δH(CDCl3) 8.37 (1H, d, J 7.1 Hz), 7.82 (1H, dd, J 6.7 and 2.5 Hz), 7.32 (3H, m), 4.35 (1H, bs), 4.02 (1H, m), 3.82 (1H, d, J 11.9 Hz), 3.48-3.69 (4H, m), 3.31 (1H, m), 3.00 (1H, m), 2.66 (2H, d, J 3.3 Hz), 2.55 (3H, s), 2.34 (2H, s), 1.08 (6H, s). LCMS (ES+) 438.0 (M+H)+.
