Procedure
To a stirred solution of Example 48 (0.27 g, 1.00 mmol) in EtOH (10 mL) was added hydrazine monohydrate (0.05 g, 0.05 mL, 1.00 mmol) and a catalytic amount of AcOH. The reaction mixture was then heated to reflux for 8 h. Upon cooling, the reaction mixture was poured into aqueous sat. NaHCO3 (50 mL) and extracted with DCM (2×50 mL). The combined organic fractions were dried over MgSO4, filtered and concentrated in vacuo to give the title compound as a white solid (0.10 g, 35%). δH (DMSO-d6) 5.93 (2H, br. s), 3.68 (4H, t, J 4.9 Hz), 3.36 (4H, t, J 4.9 Hz), 2.42 (2H, s), 2.22 (2H, s), 1.00 (6H, s). LCMS (ES+) 281.2 (M+H)+.
