Procedure
A four-necked separable flask with a stirrer, a thermometer and a Dimroth reflux cooling tube was charged with 252.8 g (2.5 mol) of a 97 wt % sulfuric acid aqueous solution and 46.2 g of water, and 142.8 g (2.5 mol) of a monoallylamine was dropwise added with stirring at 20 to 30° C. After the dropwise addition, the mixture was heated up to 45° C., to obtain a homogeneous monoallylamine sulfate solution.
