This compound was prepared according to the procedure of Example 97. A mixture of 3.0 g (0.015 mole) of 1-(4-methoxyphenyl)-piperazine, 3.7 g (0.015 mole) of 4-chloro-1-(4-chlorophenoxy)-2-butanol, 5.2 g (0.05 mole) of anhydrous sodium carbonate and 0.1 g of potassium iodide in a total volume of 200 ml of 1-butanol gave an oil as residue. The hydrochloride was formed in 2-propanol saturated with hydrogen chloride and the collected solid was recrystallized from methanol-water to give 3.3 g (42%) of white, crystalline solid, m.p. 220°-225° C.
