To a suspension of 60% sodium hydride (0.76 g) in THF (20 mL) was added 2-chloroethanesulfonyl chloride (1.85 g) under ice-cooling. The reaction mixture was stirred under ice-cooling for 5 min, and a solution of 3-(3-fluorobiphenyl-4-yl)pyridin-2-amine (1.0 g) in THF (20 mL) was added. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight, and water and hexane were added under ice-cooling. The resulting solid was collected by filtration, washed with diisopropyl ether, and dried under reduced pressure to give the title compound (1.06 g).
