Procedure

A mixture of potassium carbonate (450 mg), sodium iodide (488 mg), 2-(bromomethyl)tetrahydrofuran (538 mg) and 4-(2,2-dioxido-3,4-dihydropyrido[2,1-c][1,2,4]thiadiazin-9-yl)phenol 300 mg) in DMSO (10 mL) was stirred at 130° C. for 5 hr. The mixture was poured into water and extracted with EtOAc. The organic layer was separated, washed with 1N NaOH aq. and brine, dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was washed with IPE to give the title compound (332 mg) as a pale yellow solid. The solid was crystallized from CH3CN—IPE to give a pale yellow solid.
