Procedure

The semi-crude 5-(3,5-dimethylisoxazol-4-yl)-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)-3-propyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde from step (d) was mixed with hydroxylamine hydrochloride (200 mg, 2.89 mmol) and pyridine (0.3 mL, 3.71 mmol) in dry ethanol (3 mL) and heated at 150° C. for 10 minutes in the microwave. 1 M HCl and CH2Cl2 were added and the phases were separated. The oxime was purified on preparative IIPLC, to give 5-(3,5-dimethylisoxazol-4-yl)-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)-3-propyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde oxime (13 mg, 0.037 mmol).
