9.2 g of 3-(4-bromophenyl)-1-[4-(2-carboxyethyl)phenyl]imidazolidin-2-one are mixed with 3.8 g of N,N'-carbonyldiimidazole in a mixture of 50 ml of tetrahydrofuran and 25 ml of dimethylformamide and the resulting mixture is stirred for 2.5 hours at 80° C. After cooling, it is poured onto a mixture of 20 ml of concentrated aqueous ammonia and loog-of ice and stirred for 15 minutes. The product is suction filtered and dried.
