Procedure
157.6 g (1 mol) of 2-nitrochlorobenzene and 280 g (2.2 mol) of octylamine were mixed. The reaction mixture was heated to a temperature of 150° C. for 3 hours to undergo reaction, and then allowed to stand overnight. To the reaction solution was then added a mixture of ethyl acetate and saturated brine. The reaction solution was then subjected to separation. The organic phase thus extracted was dried and concentrated to obtain 235 g (0.93 mol) of the desired aniline derivative (yield: 93%).
