Procedure

Tert-butyl ({4-fluoro-5-(2-fluoropyridin-3-yl)-1-[(3-methoxyphenyl)sulfonyl]-1H-pyrrol-3-yl}methyl)methylcarbamate (551 mg) was dissolved in ethyl acetate (5 mL) and 2-propanol (3 mL), and 4 mol/L hydrogen chloride-ethyl acetate solution (5 mL) was added at room temperature. The reaction mixture was stirred for 4 hr and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was recrystallized from ethanol to give the title compound as colorless crystals (yield 327 mg, 76%).
