To a solution of (S)-ethyl 5-(4-(5-fluoro-2-methoxypyridin-3-yl)-2-oxooxazolidin-3-yl)pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine-3-carboxylate (311 mg, 0.77 mmol) in a 1:1:1 mixture of MeOH:THF:H2O (15 mL) was added lithium hydroxide monohydrate (97.6 mg, 2.32 mmol). The mixture was stirred at ambient temperature for 16 hours and then at 50° C. for 19 hours, then concentrated to ⅓ volume, diluted with water (30 mL) and acidified to pH 4-5 with 1N HCl. The resulting precipitate was collected by filtration, washed with water and Et2O then dried under reduced pressure to afford (S)-5-(1-(5-fluoro-2-methoxypyridin-3-yl)-2-hydroxyethylamino)pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine-3-carboxylic acid (121 mg, 45% yield) as a white powder. MS (apci) m/z=347.9 (M+H).
