To a solution of compound 18k (2.0 g, 7.0 mmol) in EtOH (20 mL) was added K2CO3 (4.8 g, 35.0 mmol) portionwise. The mixture was heated to reflux for 2 h to complete the reaction. The reaction mixture was cooled down to rt and concentrated under reduced pressure to give compound 18l (1.2 g, 84% yield), which was used without purification. LCMS (m/z): 204.1 (MH+).
