Procedure
In the reaction flask, 10 gm of the oil obtained as per Example 1 was taken in 150 ml of acetone. To this 3.6 gm of L-(+)-tartaric acid was added and mixed at reflux temperature for about 2-3 hours. Acetone was distilled to obtain 13.5 gm of tartaric acid salt of benzyl perindopril.
