Trifluoroacetic acid (0.5 ml) was added to a solution of tert-butyl [(1R,2R)-2-tert-butyldiphenylsilanyloxy-1-(3,4,5-trifluorophenyl)propyl]carbamate (370 mg) in methylene chloride (2 ml), and the reaction solution was stirred at room temperature for 11 hours. A saturated sodium bicarbonate solution was added to the reaction solution, followed by extraction with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was washed with a saturated sodium bicarbonate solution and brine, and then the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure to obtain 275 mg of the title compound.
