A solution of the product from Step A (1.28 g, 3.17 mmol) in THF (25 mL) was stirred with polymer supported triphenylphosphine (4 eq, 3 mmol/g, 12.7 mmol, 4.23 g) at 50° C. for 2 hours. Water (2.5 mL) was added and the mixture was stirred for another hour; more water (5 mL) was added and the reaction mixture was filtered. The solids were washed well with THF and the filtrate was evaporated to a residue which was dried under a vacuum to give a foam (1.10 g, 92%): LC/MS m/z 379 [M+H]+.
