To 2-chloro-5-(2,6-difluorophenyl)-6H-pyrido[1,2-b]pyridazin-6-one (1.1 g, 3.77 mmol) was added NH4Cl (100 mL) and NH4OH (100 mL). The resulting solution was heated to 90° C. and stirred for 16 hrs until complete. The reaction was cooled to ambient temperature and diluted with H2O (500 mL) until a precipitate formed. The solid precipitate was collected and dried to yield the title compound.
