To a solution of 7-bromo-1-(2,6-difluorophenyl)-2H-quinolizin-2-one (100 mg, 0.3 mmole) was added 2,4-difluorobenzylzincbromide (0.5 N in THF, 1.2 ml), and tetrakis (15 mg) in THF. The mixture was heated to 90° C. until reaction complete. The mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate, washed with 1N HCl, brine and dried over MgSO4. Upon concentration, the mixture was purified by gel chromatography (100% ethyl acetate) to yield the title compound.
