To a solution of 6-(2-Oxopiperazin-1-yl)-5,6,7,8-tetrahydronaphthalene-2-carbonitrile (20 mg, 0.078 mmol) in DMF (1 mL) was added 1-(2-Iodoethyl)-4-nitrobenzene (26 mg, 0.094 mmol) and K2CO3 (43 mg, 0.31 mmol). The mixture was allowed to stir at RT for 16 hours. LC showed product formation. The desired product was purified by mass-directed reverse phase HPLC (AcCN-Water with 0.1% TFA). LC-MS (IE, m/z): 405 [M+1]+.
