Procedure
To a solution of phenol 23 (0.54 g, 1.64 mmol) in DMF (15 mL) were added TBDMSCl (1M in CH2Cl2, 3.5 mL, 3.28 mmol), imidazole (0.35 g, 4.92 mmol) and DMAP (50 mg, 0.33 mmol) at room temperature. The mixture was stirred at ambient temperature for 15 hours. The mixture was extracted with EtOAc/H2O (50 mL/150 mL). The organic layer was dried over MgSO4, filtered, and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by silica column chromatography (Biotage) to provide the title compound 24 (0.65 g, 89%).
