To a solution of (1R,2S,3S,4R,5S)-1-(acetoxymethyl)-5-(4-chloro-3-(4-(2-(methoxy imino)propoxy)benzyl)phenyl)-6,8-dioxabicyclo[3.2.1]octane-2,3,4-triyl triacetate (120 mg, 0.18 mmol) in THF (0.8 mL), methanol (1.2 mL) and water (0.4 mL) was added lithium hydroxide monohydrate (15.2 mg, 0.36 mmol) at 0° C. The reaction mixture was stirred at r.t. for 1 h. Volatiles were evaporated in vacuo and the residue obtained was purified by column chromatography (silica gel, 1:9 MeOH:DCM) to provide the title compound (60 mg, 67%).
