To a solution of (1R,2S,3S,4R,5S)-1-(acetoxymethyl)-5-(4-chloro-3-(4-(4-(1-(ethoxyimino)ethyl)phenoxy)benzyl)phenyl)-6,8-dioxabicyclo[3.2.1]octane-2,3,4-triyl triacetate (210.0 mg, 0.28 mmol), in THF (1.6 mL), methanol (2.4 mL) and water (0.8 mL) was added lithium hydroxide monohydrate (14.0 mg, 0.34 mmol) at 0° C. The reaction mixture was stirred at r.t. for 1 h. After the completion of reaction as confirmed by TLC, volatiles were evaporated in vacuo and the compound was diluted with ethyl acetate (50 mL). The organic layer was washed with water (2×10 mL), dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated to afford title compound (160.0 mg, 98%) as a white solid.
