To a solution of 5-methyl-1-(3-(4-methylpiperazin-1-yl)benzyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole-3-carbonitrile (120 mg, 0.40 mmol) in EtOH (2 mL) was added hydroxylamine hydrochloride (31 mg, 0.44 mmol) and DIPEA (141 μL, 0.81 mmol). The reaction was stirred at 80° C. for 2 h before the solvent was removed under reduced pressure. The crude product was used without further purification. MS (ES+) C16H23N7O requires: 329 found: 330 [M+H]+.
