Procedure

A solution of methyl 6-(2,4-Difluoro-benzylamino)-2-(5-trifluoromethyl-pyridin-3-yl)-pyrimidine-4-carboxylic acid methyl ester (1 g, 0.0023 mol) in THF (10 ml), MeOH (10 ml) and H2O (10 ml) was added LiOH (0.198 g, 0.0047 mol) and the reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 hours. The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuum, reaction mass was diluted with water and neutralized with 5% citric acid solution. The obtained precipitate was filtered and washed with water, dried well under vacuum to get the title compound as a white solid.
