Procedure

To a solution of (E)-4-(4-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)phenyl)-2-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-1,1,1-trifluorobut-3-en-2-ol (0.15 g, 0.36 mmol) in THF (5 mL) was added NaH (60%, 10 mg, 0.44 mmol) at 0° C. The reaction was allowed to stir at 0° C. for 30 min, then methyl iodide (61 mg, 0.44 mmol) was added slowly and the reaction was warmed to RT and allowed to stir for 4 h. The reaction was quenched with aq NH4Cl solution and extracted with DCM. The combined organic layers were dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated under reduced pressure to afford the title compound as an off-white solid (55 mg, 35%).
