To (S)-1-(1H-imidazol-2-yl)-2-phenylethanamine from the previous reaction was added DMF (10 mL), 2-(3-(trifluoromethyl)-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-1H-indazol-1-yl)acetic acid (288 mg, 1.18 mmol), and HATU (530 mg, 1.4 mmol). Diisopropylethylamine (452 μL, 2.6 mmol) was added and the reaction was stirred for 15 min. The reaction was partitioned between EtOAc and H2O. The organics were separated, washed with saturated aqueous NaHCO3, and saturated aqueous NaCl. Solvents were removed in vacuo and the residue purified by column chromatography on silica to provide the desired product: MS (m/z) 418.3 [M+H]+.
