1 g of 3,7-dihydroxybenzo[e][1,2,4]triazine 1-oxide was suspended in POCl3 (20 mL) and DMF (0.1 mL) and stirred at 100° C. for 2 h. The solution was cooled, poured into ice/water (200 mL), stirred for 30 min, filtered, washed with water (3×10 mL) and dried.
