To a solution of methyl 2-(4-((2-(3-chlorophenyl)-6-ethylpyrimidin-4-yl)amino)phenyl)-2-methylpropanoate (0.100 g, 0.24 mmol) in dioxane (9 mL) and water (6 mL) was added LiOH.H2O (0.031 g, 0.73 mmol) and the reaction mixture stirred under a nitrogen atmosphere at 50° C. for 16 h. After this time, the reaction mixture was cooled and treated with 1M HCl to pH 3.0 and concentrated to afford the title compound (0.167 g, 100%) as a yellow oil. MW=395.88. 1H NMR (CDCl3, 300 MHz) δ 9.79 (s, 1H), 8.86 (s, 1H), 8.44-8.39 (m, 1H), 8.33-8.26 (m, 1H), 7.43-7.40 (m, 1H), 7.40-7.35 (m, 4H), 6.77 (s, 1H), 6.52 (s, 1H), 2.89 (q, J=7.6 Hz, 2H), 2.42-2.38 (m, 3H), 2.08-2.00 (m, 3H), 1.65-1.57 (m, 3H); APCI MS m/z 396 [M+H]+.
